21 May 2025: The Comiskey Group – the visionary team behind Sandstone Point Hotel and BIG4 Sandstone Point Holiday Resort – officially opens the doors today to their latest venture: The Dakabin Hotel, a multi-experience venue set to become Moreton Bay’s newest hospitality destination.
Just a short drive north of Brisbane, The Dakabin Hotel is poised to attract day trippers and food lovers with its innovative dual-kitchen concept. Guests can take their pick from the Western Kitchen, serving up crowd-pleasing dishes inspired by American, European and British favourites, or explore the bold flavours of the Eastern Kitchen, where Asian-fusion creations from Thailand, Korea, China and Japan – including Hibachi-grilled specialties – take centre stage.
Beyond the plate, The Dakabin Hotel delivers a full day out with live music and DJs, a sunken outdoor fireplace, pool tables, electronic dartboards, a kids’ arcade, and even its own basketball court – setting a new benchmark for leisure venues in the region.
In a sign of the buzz surrounding the opening, the venue received over 5,000 bookings in the first 48 hours of going live.
