22 April, 2024: As the countdown continues to Mother’s Day, Sunshine & Sons have released the 2024 edition of a special, limited-edition gin crafted especially for the occasion: Mum’s Rose Bouquet Gin. The hand-crafted premium spirit is available for gift purchases online or at the distillery door on the Sunshine Coast and follows the incredible success of the 2023 release and hundreds of requests asking when the 2024 edition will be available for purchase.
The perfect trio of rose petals, rosella, and rose hip, all locally foraged ingredients from market gardens in our Sunshine Coast backyard. Soft tannins from the rose hip are offset by the tart fruity character of the rosella with elegant floral notes from the rose petals. Serve with soda water and a slice of lemon.
“Mother’s Day is about celebrating all the wonderful mums in our lives whether it’s your Mum, Grandma, Aunty, friend or neighbour. We’re fortunate to welcome many of these wonderful women into our distillery for tours, cocktail classes or just spending time together enjoying a gin and tonic. Hobson has recently returned from the UK and Europe where he was in discussion with trade and industry as they look to export Sunshine & Son Premium Spirits.
“It’s wonderful to return home to Australia where our expert distillers are creating world-class products with locally grown and foraged ingredients. We hope to see more Australian spirits in bars and households across the UK and Europe including, in time, some of our special release gins,” added Hobson.
