Local organisations have until Friday 30 October to apply for funding from the fifth round of the Experience Eumundi Sponsorship Program, which has backed everything from youth mentoring to hospital equipment this year.
20 October 2026: Not-for-profit groups with an event, project or idea that could benefit Eumundi can apply for a share of $25,000 through the Experience Eumundi Sponsorship Program, which is funded by the town’s markets.
Round five opened on 28 September and closes at 11.59pm on Friday 30 October, with $25,000 available to distribute. The program is open to not-for-profit organisations based in the 4562 postcode, as well as those based elsewhere whose work directly benefits the area. It runs two funding rounds a year, and every application is assessed against Experience Eumundi’s sponsorship framework.
Earlier this year the program supported youth mentoring at the Eumundi School of Rock, Hoofbeats Sanctuary’s equine therapy program for girls and young women, a blanket warmer for Nambour General Hospital through Wishlist, Eumundi State School’s SunnyKids wellbeing program, drainage improvements at the Eumundi Showgrounds, security upgrades for the Eumundi Tennis Club and the Eumundi Writers Festival.
Experience Eumundi General Manager Mark Cameron said the program was one of the most direct ways the markets gave back to the town.
“Some of the best ideas we fund come from small groups with a handful of volunteers and a clear plan. If you’re running something that will make a difference in Eumundi, we want to hear about it.”
Mr Cameron said competition for funding was strong, and he encouraged applicants to read the framework before applying.
“We get a lot of high-quality applications, so the ones that stand out show exactly who will benefit and how. The framework sets out what we’re looking for, and it’s worth taking the time to read it first.”
Applicants will be notified of the outcome once all eligible applications have been assessed.
