Eden Retreat Launches New Autumn Menu Focused on Seasonal, Protein-Led Wellness

5 March 2026: Eden Retreat has unveiled its new autumn menu, introducing a seasonal shift toward more grounding, protein-led dishes designed to support strength, recovery and sustained energy as temperatures cool at the Gold Coast Hinterland luxury wellness retreat.

The new menu uses organic produce wherever possible, with many herbs and leafy greens harvested directly from Eden’s onsite garden.

Head Chef Fiona Hatchett said the autumn offering reflects both the natural rhythm of Currumbin Valley, where the retreat is located, and Eden’s food philosophy, grounded in nourishment, integrity and connection to place.

“As the valley moves into autumn, our kitchen naturally shifts with it,” Hatchett said. “We’re harvesting an abundance of leafy greens and herbs, our native finger limes are almost ready to pick, and our ginger is nearing harvest. You’ll see more warming elements on the plate – slow-cooked flavours, grounding vegetables and a gentle lift in nourishing carbohydrates.”

The refreshed menu maintains a strong emphasis on high-quality protein across every meal, supporting muscle repair, metabolic health and sustained energy.

“Protein is essential for recovery and strength, particularly for guests engaging in movement, therapies and wellness programs,” Hatchett said. “Every dish is intentionally designed to nourish in the moment while showing that healthy food can be deeply satisfying and full of flavour without refined sugar.”

Seasonal highlights include:

  • Line-caught fish with fennel, citrus and fresh herbs, delivering lean, omega-rich protein
  • Grass-fed beef fillet with carrot and ginger purée, charred garden greens and pomegranate jus
  • Herb-infused lamb backstrap with smoky eggplant and roasted beetroot
  • Spiced marinated chicken with quinoa and market garden herbs
  • Plant-based nourish and Buddha bowls layered with tamari ginger brown rice, sweet potato, kale, spinach and fermented elements to support gut health and immunity

As temperatures dip, millet, brown rice, sweet potato and gluten-free sourdough feature more prominently, providing slow-release fuel and warmth.

General Manager Ash Martin said the autumn launch reflects Eden’s broader focus on delivering guest-led experiences, where food plays a central role in each stay.

“Guest feedback consistently shows that healthy and delicious food is one of the most important and memorable parts of any stay at Eden,” Martin said. “People arrive expecting wellness, but they often leave talking about the flavour, the creativity and how satisfied they felt without refined sugar or heavily processed ingredients.”

“Our approach proves that organic produce, high-quality protein and seasonal ingredients can deliver both wellbeing outcomes and an exceptional dining experience.”

The autumn menu is now available to guests staying at Eden Retreat.
